The Camilla Eyring Kimball Chair of Home and Family Life was founded in 1982 and honors Sister Kimball for her dedication to nurturing and perfecting families, her lifelong work as a homemaker, her support of education, and her considerable contributions to the community. Throughout her life Camilla Eyring Kimball exhibited intellectual curiosity, love of learning, and advocated education for both men and women as essential elements in preparation for family life. During a time when few graduated from high school, she obtained a teaching certificate from Brigham Young University and taught home economics. |
